Abstract: Professor Renaut's presentation of LaTeX focused on the creation of a simple document containing basic environments such as mathematical symbols and equations using the Linux-based Kile editor. In this presentation we will experiment with similar environments using the Windows-based WinEdt editor instead. This editor shares many features with Kile and its basic use will be demonstrated. We shall also experiment with specific templates for quizzes, exams, letters, etc. I will describe the basic structure of these
templates so that you will be able to adapt them or create new ones. I will also describe additional ressources you can use when composing your LaTeX document.
