Teaching MAT 210

Abstract: Having taught 210 for several semesters, I have developed and incorporated some teaching ideas, approaches, and assignments that are not present in the Math 210 textbook.  In the presentation I will highlight some of these ideas that have proven successful in improving student understanding.  Topics will include limits and continuity, the rate of change concept, and an alternative to the substitution integration method.
